Michele Moorcroft (MNCS Accred) Moorcroft Counselling
Stafford Park 4
After being a Samaritans volunteer for many years, I reached the point where I wanted to support people in a different way. As a qualified integrative Counsellor, I prefer having the ability to build a therapeutic relationship where we can work together. Being “integrative” simply means that I am trained and qualified in different types of counselling giving me flexibility and allowing me to tailor my support to meet your individual needs.
What to expect from our sessions
Counselling is a process and it is not about me giving advice, passing judgement or claiming that I know what is best for you, but it is about me offering you a safe, confidential and supportive environment where you can explore and discover for yourself. I am passionate and have belief in what I do and my aim is that through the work we do, you will start to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, enabling you to move forward and find yourself in a different, more positive place to where you are right now.
I have experience of supporting clients with a range of issues from suicidal thoughts to anxiety and depression, bereavement to low self-esteem. The full list of issues that I work with is below.
I am trained to deliver the 'Rewind Technique' to treat PTSD and Trauma. This is a technique that has been used with veterans and emergency services personnel. You can learn more about it by going to www.iartt.com
I am an accredited provider for 'The Foundation for Infant Loss' supporting Mums and/or their partners who have miscarried, had a stillbirth or a neonatal loss.
I am a registered provider for the 'Mates in Mind' charity, whose aim is to destigmatise mental health across the Construction industry by getting employees talking about it. I have worked within the industry myself for the past 24 years so I know how tough it can be to talk about how you are feeling in such a 'Macho' environment.
If you choose to work with myself then I can offer daytime or evening sessions from my base in Telford or alternatively, I have use of premises in Shrewsbury if that is more convenient. Both locations offer ample free parking.
