Michele Moorcroft MBACP Moorcroft Counselling
After being a Samaritans volunteer for many years, I reached the point where I wanted to support people in a different, more directive way. As a qualified integrative Counsellor, I enjoy having the opportunity to build a therapeutic relationship, where we have the time to take a look at what is going on for you and work together on what has brought you to Counselling.
Being “integrative” simply means that I am trained and qualified in different types of Counselling namely Person Centred, CBT and Psychodynamic. This knowledge gives me the flexibility to tailor my support to meet your individual needs.
What to expect from our sessions
Counselling is a process and it is not about me giving advice, passing judgement or claiming that I know what is best for you, but it is about me offering you a safe, confidential and supportive environment where you can explore and discover for yourself. I am passionate and have belief in what I do and my aim is that during our sessions, you will start to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, to develop strategies where they are needed, enabling you to move forward and find yourself in a different, more positive place to where you are right now.
I have experience of supporting clients with a range of issues from suicidal thoughts to anxiety and depression, bereavement to low self-esteem. The full list of issues that I work with is detailed below.
When you contact me, I will give you the option of a 30 minute introductory session at a reduced rate. This time will give us the opportunity to meet each other, and for you to ask any questions that you may have.
If you decide to proceed, I can offer you daytime or evening sessions from my therapy room in Telford or alternatively, I have use of premises in Shrewsbury if that is more convenient. Both locations offer ample free parking.
