About me

If you’ve paused here, I want to say first of all, well done. Taking that step to reach out for support isn’t always easy, and it shows courage. Whether you choose to work with me or someone else, I hope you find the support you deserve.

A little about me: I’m a qualified integrative counsellor, and I work from a trauma-informed perspective. What that really means is that I look at the whole person, your experiences, your feelings, your challenges and meet you where you are.

My approach comes from both my professional training and my own lived experiences. I know firsthand how anxiety, grief, depression, and other struggles can shape a person’s emotional world. I bring that understanding into our work together, with empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help you feel heard, valued, and supported.

Everyone is unique, so I never take a one-size-fits-all approach. I’ll work with you to create therapy that suits your needs, always without judgment. And while my practice is warm and human, it’s also guided by clear ethical boundaries, supervision, and reflection to make sure the support you receive is safe, thoughtful, and effective.

Training, qualifications & experience

Alongside my integrative counselling qualification, I have undertaken additional specialist training, including:

  • Transactional Analysis
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Diploma
  • Grief and Bereavement Counselling Diploma
  • Inner Child Healing Diploma
  • Counselling Skills Diploma (in addition to my core training)
  • Mother-daughter coaching international
  • Safeguarding vulnerable adults
  • Online and telephone counselling
  • Suicide prevention ASIST
  • Sex Therapy Practitioner

These qualifications allow me to work flexibly and responsively with clients, tailoring interventions to individual needs while maintaining a strong client-centered foundation. I place particular emphasis on building a safe therapeutic relationship, supporting emotional regulation, and empowering clients through insight and practical tools.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice, and I value working within a supportive service that prioritises ethical, compassionate counselling.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my work further if required.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
