About me

As a Person-Centered therapist, I'm concerned to hear what's troubling you and support you through this time so you can move forward in your life. No issue is too small.

I am particularly experienced in bereavement counselling from traumatic loss, multiple loss, to loss through suicide. I offer UK-wide online and telephone counselling and work with a wide range of issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma. I also offer in-person sessions in Dunoon.

I will offer you a warm, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship where together we will work to find the way through that’s right for you.

I know I can’t change your situation or fix you. I don’t believe you need to be fixed. I think you are doing the best you can in the circumstances you find yourself.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, feeling sad, have low mood, depression, anger issues, work stress, or relationship problems - whatever it is you’re dealing with, don’t go through it alone. Get in touch. I know it's hard to make that first step but I'd like to hear from you.

I am a registered member of the BACP and abide by their code of ethics in my practice. I qualified as a counsellor and psychotherapist at post-graduate level with Aberdeen University.

Training, qualifications & experience

  •  Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centered Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Aberdeen
  •  COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills from Strathclyde University

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
