About me

Outside of my counselling qualifications, my biggest offering to you as a therapist is authenticity. Seeking out therapy can be intimidating and the last thing anyone wants is to be sat in a stuffy environment, trying to figure out what to say, whilst someone nods along, poker faced, scribbling furiously in a notebook! I like to infuse therapy with connection, kindness and the odd giggle to alleviate the heaviness from time to time. I hold a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Over the years I've worked with tonnes of different issues, from social anxiety, depression, low self esteem, personality disorders, sexual abuse, infidelity, mood disorders such as bipolar, dissociative disorders and much much more. I continue to work with all of these issues and more, but I do have a special interest in working with clients who have struggled with the vast impact of fatphobia and diet culture, and I operate from a very HAES aligned, weight neutral stance.

The most important thing within therapy is that you feel safe, and gel with your therapist. That is why I offer a 30 minute free phone consultation, for you to ‘try before you buy’. I run a confidential and none judgemental practice, for you to explore your issues at your own pace. We can work together to help you make connections between your past and present, and to figure out strategy for the future.

Taking the plunge and contacting a therapist can feel like diving into the unknown. I'm here to support and guide you through this process. Please do feel free to get in touch with any questions, queries, to book in or to scope out 'how all of this works' - there are no stupid questions!

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
