About me
Therapy can be a challenging undertaking, especially when you're sitting across from someone who is furiously scribbling in a notebook and remaining poker-faced while you try your best to open up. That's why I run my practice with a few core values: acceptance, kindness, empathy, and compassion. And, to lighten the load a bit, I believe in adding a touch of humour and humanity. No chaise longue necessary.
I believe that with the right tools and support, everyone can change and nobody is a lost cause. I have the experience to back that up, with a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, plus over 10 years in the mental health field. I founded The Offload Project in 2022 and have ran my own practice, Red Clay, since 2020 - you can have a gander at my blog over at redclaypsychotherapy.com if you’re at a loose end.
My approach to therapy is integrative, blending different types of therapy tailored to your needs. I work from a three-step trauma-informed model to prioritise safety and stabilisation - making sure that nobody leaves my office feeling more traumatised than when they came in because they’ve been pushed too hard, too soon. If you're interested in my services but unsure if I'm the right therapist for you, don't hesitate to contact me for a chat. I think having a good rapport with your therapist is the most important thing, so I offer a free 15 minute consultation for you to get a feel for if I’m the right fit for you. Just drop me a message to book in!

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
