About me

Reaching out for counselling can be the first of many steps to finding the answers you are looking for. I believe when you find a safe, non-judgmental space to work through your thoughts and experiences you can begin to make the changes that feel right for you. I offer a space where you can feel heard and seen. Through this relationship you can find your way forward with increased confidence and clarity.

As a person centred counsellor our sessions are led by you and your needs. I will work alongside you, without judgement, focusing on the issues that are important to you.

I have worked with people for a variety of uses, some experiencing grief and loss, relationship issues, family stress, overwhelm, work issues and depression being among some of those reasons. My aim with all remains the same, to provide a safe and comfortable space where you are listened to whilst you explore what it is that would be helpful for you.

Effective counselling is very much dependant on the connection, strength and trust within the unique therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I offer an initial telephone call for up to 20 minutes to decide whether I am the right person for you. Please email me to arrange a consultation or ask any questions you may have.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
