I have worked with school aged children and young people in a teaching and counselling capacity for over 10 years and understand the specific stresses and health and wellbeing issues young people experience today. My specific and exclusive focus is on children and young people aged 5-18, and cover issues specific to young people including but not limited to anxiety, depression, self harm, eating disorders, bullying, friendship, self esteem/confidence, family conflict, school related issues.
I have also worked with at risk and vulnerable young people, including those in danger of being excluded from school, as well as young offenders.
I use SFBT (solution focused brief therapy) and CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), and elements of play therapy.
I provide a confidential, non judgmental service for young people.
