About me

Welcome.

Are you in distress, emotional pain, feeling confused, conflicted, hopeless, anxious or lost? Are you looking for someone who can come alongside you at this time in your life to offer a safe and supportive space where you can share and explore your anxieties, grief, despair, struggles, confusion, loss of meaning, sense of self, hopes and dreams. You deserve to feel seen, heard and understood.

My name is Lauren and I am an experienced psychosynthesis counsellor. I believe in the transformative potential of our pain, crises, challenges or stuckness. Psychosynthesis is a depth therapy that can help you to identify what is calling for attention in your life, what needs to be expressed, processed and understood. Ultimately it is a liberating practice that can support you in discovering and reclaiming more of who you are to foster a greater sense of wellbeing, grounding, belonging, connection, self-understanding, compassion and love.

At the heart of the work is the quality of the relationship between you and I. I will always endeavour to provide a safe and supportive space where trust can develop between us to nurture your unfolding process. As such, I encourage having an initial session where we can meet one another to see how it feels to work together and I can ensure I can support your unique needs.

I work with a wide range of presenting issues from loss of meaning in life through to complex trauma. Psychosynthesis is an integrative approach which means I can draw on a range of therapeutic and creative approaches to best suit your needs.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
