About me

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist based in East London offering individual therapy for adults. There are many reasons why people may seek therapy. We all face moments in life which can be challenging, where we can find ourselves feeling out of control, struggling to cope and in emotional pain. Whatever your reason is for seeking therapy, finding the right person, who you can build trust with you to explore some of your most difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences, is essential.

Every client is unique and requires different things from therapy. Therefore, my therapeutic practice is tailored to meet your needs. In tailoring my work to your needs, I draw on a range of theories, techniques and evidence-based practice. I have training and experience in humanistic, existential, cognitive behavioural (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches. Whichever approach we take, it is important for therapy to be useful and helpful to you.

At the heart of my practice, I prioritise building a warm, trusting and non-judgemental relationship, a strong foundation for you to feel safe to explore in-depth your most difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences. I adopt a collaborative approach to my work; together we can understand and overcome the things in your life that are causing you distress. I believe therapy can help bring about new possibilities and real change in your life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BPS and HCPC Chartered Counselling Psychologist. I have extensive experience working with adults in a range of community settings, including an NHS primary care service. In particular, I have worked with individuals experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, bereavement, addiction, relationship issues, domestic violence and work stress.

I have extensive experience working in the homeless sector, and I have a specialist interest in working with those who are experiencing addictions.

I hold a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, MSc in Health Psychology, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology.
