About me

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor. This means I draw upon a range of theories and techniques in order to assist my clients on an individual basis.

I specialise in working with adolescence and clients in their 20s and 30s. I understand that modern life and societal expectations has led to increased anxieties, pressures and mental health problems in these age ranges. These life stages encounter tremendous change which produce difficult challenges and hurdles to overcome. The impact these challenges can have on mood, self-esteem, resilience and personal relationships can be overwhelming and emotionally difficult to cope with. I offer a warm, non-judgemental and empathic relationship in a calm and confidential environment, to really get to the heart of the issues you’re experiencing.

My role is to be alongside you as we explore together the problems you’re a currently facing. I work by encouraging you to reflect on your feelings and explore patterns in your thinking, behaviour and relationships in order to gain self-awareness and build your inner resilience and strength to manage your emotional and psychological difficulties independently.

To share deep personal feelings and experiences with a stranger can be a scary and vulnerable thing to do. Due to this, at the heart of my therapeutic practice is the importance of developing and maintaining a strong and trusting relationship between us. In order to put painful thoughts and feelings into words and to show your truest self, you need to feel comfortable and safe in my presence. I hope I can provide this for you and give you the opportunity to be truly listened to, understood and seen as your most authentic self.

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, which can be discussed and agreed together in our first meeting. All sessions last 50 minutes and are in person in my therapy room in Earls Court.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
