About me
Unexpected or ongoing difficult life events can often leave us feeling unable to 'think straight' and/or feel ok in ourselves. I offer my clients a calm and positive space to work through those challenges, giving an opportunity for self-reflection utilising a combination of coaching and counselling methodologies
During our sessions, I work directly on problem-solving behaviours, helping you to develop day-to-day tools for finding constructive, creative solutions to the things you’re finding difficult. This is an approach that is designed to promote personal growth and change, offering the opportunity to develop the kinds of skills that can be applied to all areas of life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a UKCP registered Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Trainer and offer a range of therapies to suit client’s needs. I work with adults on a short, medium, and long-term basis, online and face to face.
I have particular experience working as a Bereavement and Loss Counsellor within a Hospice setting and as a Life Coach with a focus on general health and wellbeing, diet and exercise. Previous experience gained within the NHS in the Time to Talk service focused on a variety of areas including anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties and living with ongoing health issues. I have worked in the Financial Services Sector for over 26 years, specialising in People Resource Management so bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my practice in association with this, especially in relation to Life and Careers coaching.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
