About me
I provide a caring, safe, non-judgemental, and insightful space for you to pause and be yourself. Supporting you to voice your inner struggles and to work through them with effect. I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, relationships, attachment and childhood trauma, low self-confidence, depression, and OCD. It energises me to see clients become happier and healthier selves, deeply rooted in their own potential. I am a registered psychotherapist and a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), BAATN, and Metanoia Institute. My approach is evidence-based, drawing on Gestalt Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT-CBT), and, where useful, symbolism (including metaphor, dreams, imagery and associations).
I have extensive experience working with eating disorders, addiction, and dual diagnosis in clinical settings. My previous career as a corporate lawyer enables me to effectively support clients facing imposter syndrome, performance anxiety, and chronic stress, providing a rich and diverse foundation for our work together.
Whatever difficulty you may be facing, you are welcome here. It is my joy to support my clients' growth into more psychological flexibility, emotional rest and mental ease. You deserve it too. I offer psychotherapy to individuals and couples, and run therapy groups on a periodic basis. Sessions are available from my therapy room in the City on Queen Street (EC4R 1BB) or at Yoga Point in SW2. Do reach out if you feel curious about starting therapy, or just wish to learn more. This might just be your first step to change.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited and registered psychotherapist at the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), included in the UKCP National Register. I hold a Clinical Diploma and MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy, LL.B., LL.M., ACT-CBT certification, and I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, Metanoia Institute, and BAATN. Prior to private practice, I worked with eating disorders (EDs), addiction and dual diagnostic treatments in clinical settings. As part of my former career, I held registration as a lawyer at the Dutch Bar Association after being sworn in at the Court of Amsterdam.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
