About me

I am an integrative Psychologist, meaning that I draw from a number of therapeutic approaches depending on your goals, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Presentations I work with include: Anxiety, Depression, PTSD / Trauma,OCD, Stress, and low self esteem amongst others. I aim to work collaboratively with clients and to provide a secure and non-judgemental space to facilitate understanding and change in a way which best suits your needs.

Therapy can be short-term and goal-focused (usually CBT) or more open-ended and exploratory. I am registered with the following insurers: AXA, AVIVA, BUPA, Cigna, Vitality, WPA.

Please feel free to reach out to arrange an initial phone-call where we can talk about what difficulties you are experiencing and how we might work together. There is no obligation to continue with the therapy if it doesn't feel like a good fit, I will answer any questions you may have and give you a sense of what the therapy might look like.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the BPS and HCPC. I completed my training at the University of Surrey and have seven years of experience working in various mental health settings. I have worked in several different services within the NHS, including both primary care and secondary care services, as well as in the private and voluntary sectors.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
