About me

Hi and welcome. It can be daunting choosing a counsellor to work with when you are facing difficulties. I want to help you in your search by describing how I work.

I am a counsellor who works with people that are struggling with life and want someone to talk to about it.  I moved into counselling later in life, after a career in management with large organisations, including the NHS.

I offer a general counselling service for people experiencing distress in their lives. My focus is on providing you with a non-judgemental safe space to help you explore, make sense of and deal with the challenges you are facing.

In addition I also provide a particular service, counselling for dog owners, for people who are struggling with their relationship with their dog or the loss of a dog.

You are welcome to give me a ring to get a better feel of whether I am someone you would like to work with. I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Persona Development and Training and am a member of COSCA.

I also have a Diploma in Bi-Aura, a form of bio-energy healing.

My particular focus, on the struggles that we experience with our canine companions, combines my counselling training/experience with 10 years of research and study into our emotional connection with our dogs.
