About me

Have you always felt different or had trouble fitting in? Perhaps you're thinking that you might have Autism/ASD, ADHD or Tics/Tourette’s or a learning difficulty such as Dyslexia. Would you like an assessment for yourself or your child to confirm this? Maybe you have been newly diagnosed or have traits of ASD, ADHD or Tourette’s and are looking for further information and support. I, and my small team of expert psychologists at Neurodiverse Online, offer diagnostic assessments for adults and children with Autism/ASD, ADHD, Tourette's/Tics and cognitive assessments (IQ tests) / learning disability assessments.

Therapy/post-diagnostic support:

Using CBT and psychoeducation, I help people learn about ASD, anxiety and related differences. I bring warmth and humour to sessions and enjoy making assessments, diagnosis and ongoing support a relaxing and positive experience. At Neurodiverse Online, my colleagues also offer EMDR, Narrative and Cognitive Analytic Therapy.

Currently, all of our work is online, which means that we can reach you wherever in the country (or the world!) you are based. All of the diagnostic tools that we use are approved by the NHS. All of our assessments follow the most rigorous assessment protocols so that you can feel sure that your diagnosis will be recognised in the UK and around the globe.

I specialise in working with people who are looking for:

  • A diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and Tourette's
    CBT for ADHD
  • Psychological therapies for mental health difficulties in the context of autism
  • Therapy for Touette's/Tic Disorder. I offer Habit Reversal Therapy, CBiTS (Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention for Tics) and Explosure and Response Prevention.
  • Support for parents, partners and families supporting people with neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Cognitive assessments of learning difficulties and support for applying for accommodations in exams including school/college liaison

I can also treat the following mental health problems:

  • stress, worry, anxiety disorders such as generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), post-traumatic disorder (PTSD), panic attacks and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • feeling sad or depressed including low self-esteem and low self-confidence
    relationship problems
  • workplace issues e.g. relationship issues at work, work-related stress, bullying, difficulties with time management, procrastination and organisation skills

Where I work:

I work mainly by video call but occasionally see face to face clients in Surrey or Bristol.

How to arrange an appointment:

The easiest thing to do is click the red ‘Email me’ button on my profile here. Alternatively, you can:

  • phone me on 03338 804881

What are the unique features that I offer?

  • Specialist knowledge and skills in assessing Autism. I am trained to diagnose autism using NHS-recognised gold standard tools like the ADOS-2 and ADI-R
  • Diagnosis of ADHD using NHS-recognised diagnostic tools
  • Cognitive-behavioural therapy for ADHD, learning practical tools to deal with memory and concentration difficulties, disorganisation and impulsivity
  • Therapy for Tourette's/Tic Disorder such as Behavioural Therapy, Habit Reversal Therapy, or CBiTs
  • I am a clinical psychologist: which means that I have one of the broadest and most in depth therapy trainings of all therapy professions. Being a clinical psychologist means I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) a government body set up to regulate healthcare professions and provide the public with quality assurance. This means you can be sure you are seeing a properly trained professional who is trained to work with a broad range of problems and client groups.
  • Extra online materials: Included in your session fee, I provide online materials so you can extend and consolidate your recovery and learning between our sessions. From mindfulness or relaxation exercises to downloadable information packs, all resources can be viewed on a mobile phone or tablet as well as desktop computer

What are the benefits of therapy by video call:

  • Many scientific studies show that receiving online therapy is equally effective to in person therapy. For some people, it can be even more effective. For example, some Autistic people, those who are particularly shy or have social anxiety sometimes feel more comfortable online.
  • If you have difficulties leaving your house due to anxiety, mobility issues, caring responsibilities or living in a remote location, online appointments can be the best or only way to get help.
  • Evidence from many studies shows that the therapeutic relationship formed by video call is just as strong as when people meet in person. Many clients have reported that they have felt very comfortable working with me online.
  • If you are a busy professional, online assessment or therapy can be more convenient and time efficient. You can fit your appointments around your work commitments.
