About me

Firstly, I would like to welcome you to my page. I understand that it is not always easy seeking help, especially during difficult times and this takes a lot of strength and courage.

I am a qualified counsellor, registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and follow their ethical framework.

Therapy provided:

My primary modality is person-centred, however; I have worked with the knowledge of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy and trauma focused therapy and have often utilised this in my practice. As unique individuals, it is important to find an approach that suits you and your needs and I will work with you and utilise other skills if I feel it could be of benefit.

My approach aims to help you:

  • Feel understood and less alone
  • Help you process difficult emotions, experiences, or trauma
  • Explore your needs
  • Trust your own instincts
  • Find the right solutions for you

This will be done in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment, where you can feel free to explore whatever maybe troubling you.

I offer online therapy (via Zoom or Telephone) to individuals 18+.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a DipHE in person-centred and experiential counselling from Glyndwr University.

Recent study and areas of interest include - CBT, relational depth, online counselling (OU/BACP), C-PTSD, childhood sexual abuse, trauma, single session therapy, suicide and self-harm.

I have experience working with a diverse range of clients and their presenting issues, such as:

  • Anxiety and Stress
  • Depression
  • Grief and Loss
  • Suicidal Thoughts
  • Trauma

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
