About me
There comes a point for many people when distress, anxiety and confusion take hold and psychological help is needed. Sometimes the reasons for this seem all too apparent and sometimes they are quite baffling. It can be enormously helpful to talk things through with a professional person who is unconnected with your family and friends. I am warm, empathetic and genuine. I'm a qualified therapeutic counsellor with over 13 years’ experience working with both adults and young people. I am a registered member of the BACP, working in accordance with its Ethical Framework. I am based in Hindley, near Wigan.
I provide a safe, confidential space where you can express yourself freely and process complex thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. I will work with you to understand your goals and support you as you move towards resolution, to help you to begin to make sense of your situation, and perhaps bring about change.
If you are experiencing feelings of stress, low Self esteem, anxiety or depression, I can support you with these issues. You can call me with no obligation to book an appointment. I provide a free 15 minute consultation on video, or you can contact me by the above email or you can call me directly by phone
I offer daytime, evening and weekend appointments. I also offer Zoom sessions.
I offer a free consultation either on the phone, by email or online.
If you would just like a chat, with no obligation with any questions you may have then please get in touch.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
