About me
I am a humanistic counsellor predominantly person-centred. For me, you are 'in charge', the expert on yourself and what you need. With You Counselling is a practice that reflects this belief. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, my pronouns are she/her. I feel that it is incredibly important that each individual has at least one relationship in they can be totally themselves. My previous job as a mental health nurse opened me to working with individuals with a mental health diagnosis which I have bought into my work as a counsellor. I am open to working with those who are finding life too difficult for a reason such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, a bipolar diagnosis. It may also be that you are struggling with low mood, anxiety or poor sleep. You don't need to have a mental health diagnosis to seek support. I have in the past worked specifically with mums and birthing people who are or have struggled with their mental wellbeing. I also have lived experience of struggling with my wellbeing but through therapy I have been able to move to recovery.
I work remotely only, by video or by phone.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
