Counselling is a place where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a safe and non-judgmental space. Some people come to counselling wanting to better manage their day to day challenges, others to heal from the past. By working on our unhelpful beliefs we can discover what needs to be changed in order to enjoy life a bit more rather than feel overwhelmed by it. Improving the relationship we have with ourselves helps us create better relationships with others. Engaging in therapy could be scary at first but once you find the right person and build the trust it becomes easier.
How I work
My core counselling training stems from solution-focused and relational therapy. I draw from different modalities, enabling me to tailor the counselling I provide, to your specific needs. I have experience working with adults, covering a range of issues including general anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, PTSD and bereavement.
In our initial session, we will discuss the things you would like to focus on as well as my approach to ascertain if what I offer is what you are looking for. The easiest way to begin is to send me a short email to either book the first session or to arrange a short free phone call in case you have additional questions.
As a member of the National Counselling Society and EMDR UK, I work within their Ethical Framework and I am professionally supervised.
