About me
Are you experiencing life changes or challenges that you find difficult to manage? Are you struggling to understand and manage your emotions, moods and behaviour?
Perhaps life has become too overwhelming and difficult to navigate and it is affecting your wellbeing and mental health. You might have experienced losses or difficulties in your relationships. Or maybe you want to learn more about yourself and the way you interact with the world. These are only a few of the topics that might have led you to explore counselling and are also some of the aspects I could help you with.
I am an integrative counsellor trained in humanistic and psychodynamic approaches. My experience and training enable me to use a variety of tools and methods tailored to your individual needs. I provide a confidential and non-judgemental space in which you can feel safe to bring and work through the struggles that led you to seek support at this stage.
I approach my work from the perspective that each individual has a unique way of experiencing life and therefore the solutions they are looking for are also unique to them. I hold a holistic perspective, meaning that I integrate body, mind and spirit to address your overall wellbeing, support healing and to find balance in your life.
How I work:
I will encourage you to bring to your session whatever is important to you. I will follow your steps, facilitating your exploration, gently guiding and challenging you, helping you to get a deeper understanding of yourself and what you experience. I will respect your autonomy and will listen with compassion and acceptance.
When working together I will pay attention to, and explore, the way you build and manage your life and relationships, as well as how the previous steps you took have shaped and affected your current life. I work relationally, meaning that I place a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship that we build. I strongly believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the essential vehicles that facilitate change, personal growth and healing.
Counselling is a transformative process, and my role is to walk beside you in this journey, supporting you in reaching your individual therapeutic goals.
First steps:
I offer a free 15 minute phone or online consultation, with no obligations or commitments. This will help us start to know each other, where we can discuss any doubts and worries you might have about stepping into your counselling journey.
During our first session, the assessment session, we will discuss what brought you to therapy and what your goals are, and I will take a brief overview of your history and current life. We will explore how we will be working together and what to expect from the therapeutic process.
Once we agree to work together, I contract for 6 sessions, including a review session. At the end of this block, we can decide how you would like to proceed. Our sessions will take place weekly on the agreed day and time.
Stepping into your therapeutic journey can be emotionally challenging. If you feel overwhelmed or worried about your first steps, please contact me.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
