About me

Hello and welcome to my profile!

I know that searching for a counsellor can be a daunting task that could raise lots of questions for you. From 'Is the therapy provided right for me?' to 'Will this counsellor be a good fit for me?' you could easily add extra stress to what brought to this search in the first place.

To ease your work, I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute introductory call, to allow us to get in touch, get to know each other and answer the most outstanding questions and concerns. Further, our first counselling session has a reduced fee. This will allow you to experience the space I offer and my approach and decide if and how you would like to proceed.

I look forward to hearing from you and being part of your therapeutic journey.

My approach

I am trained in humanistic and psychodynamic approaches, and I work integratively, drawing on a variety of theoretical ideas, methods, and tools to support you on your therapeutic journey. I offer open-ended counselling sessions, available face-to-face and/or online, tailored to your needs.

I believe that each of us is the expert of our own life. As a unique individual, your experiences, challenges, and the solutions you seek are personal to you. My role is to help you deepen your understanding of yourself and your experiences, guiding you toward uncovering the answers or solutions that already exist within you.

I will be a trusted companion, gently supporting and guiding you through your exploration and self-discovery, as we work together to achieve your therapeutic goals.

I provide a safe and confidential space where you can openly explore your feelings, thoughts, struggles, and worries, as well as your responses and behaviours in relation to the world and those around you.

Together, we will build a solid therapeutic relationship that empowers you to challenge patterns or beliefs that no longer serve you. Through this process, we will work toward developing new tools, behaviours, or perspectives that support you in reaching your full potential.

Through our work, we will explore your past and childhood experiences to gain a deeper awareness of how they have shaped you and influenced who you are today. Together, we will examine your beliefs and inner dialogue, reflecting on how they impact your daily life. If you identify something you wish to change, I will support you with compassion and acceptance, helping you work toward that change at your own pace.

Couples Counselling

Communication (the process of sending and receiving messages) is one of the most critical elements in triggering and resolving conflicts. Together, we will explore the factors that have shaped your communication styles and identify the obstacles you may face in communicating with each other. Using various techniques, we will work on enhancing your communication skills, enabling you both to be more open, clear, and assertive with one another.

If the trust between you has been broken, I will guide you in exploring ways to rebuild it within a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space.

For couples navigating significant changes or struggling with challenges, I will support you in identifying and sharing your individual processes. We will work on increasing your awareness of what each of you brings to and needs from the relationship. Together, we will work on deciding and defining the next steps for your relationship.

What's next?

Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns about starting therapy, would like to learn more about my approach, or wish to book an appointment. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
