About me

Everyone needs someone supportive and non-judgemental in their life. That’s what I strive to be for my clients. I create a safe, trustworthy environment where you can work through whatever issues you’re facing. As an Integrative therapist, I use a variety of techniques to find what works best for you. I’ve helped individuals and couples in crisis stabilise their relationships by understanding themselves and each other better. I’ve also supported growth, improved communication, addressed trauma, and explored relationship dynamics. I offer premarital and marriage counselling as well as individual therapy for a wide range of concerns. I’d love to learn more about you and see if we’re a good fit to work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified therapist with extensive experience. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and an Accredited Member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Accred). I follow their ethical codes of practice to guarantee my professionalism and credibility. My approach is non-judgmental, down-to-earth and relaxing, ensuring you feel safe and secure. I have worked with many individuals and couples with various issues and have experience in private practice and with Relate National.

I am Level 3 trained in the Gottman Method and have a Master's in Contemporary Relationship Studies.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
