About us

First Step aims to provide opportunities for local families with young children to make positive choices in their lives by providing supportive centre-based and outreach activities which encourage parents and children to develop their self-esteem, confidence and skills

We deliver both Person-Centred Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Sessions are generally 50 minutes long and are offered in blocks of 12-15 weeks. Sessions take place at the same time and on the same day each week.

About the space, we have a lovely, welcoming room inside the First Step building, not far from Musselburgh city centre.  Our space is baby friendly

We are  currently open to new clients
