About me

Whatever you are going through you do not have to be alone with it. I offer a nurturing, accepting and confidential space to talk about you, a space that allows you the time to share your own story and a space necessary for healing.

I am a Person-Centred therapist which means I work from the understanding that you are the expert in your own life and I will do my best to ensure you feel truly seen, heard and supported as you explore whatever is troubling you and find your own way forward. You will always be at the centre of the work we both do together.

I offer face-to-face sessions in West Norwood and Crystal Palace, online session via Zoom and outdoor therapy (walk and talk) in Brockwell Park (SE24) and Crystal Palace Park (SE20).

I have experience with working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, abuse, trauma, and addiction and substance misuse recovery. I also have experience with and an interest in working within peri-natal mental health support, supporting new parents who are struggling with the changes and difficulties that come with having a baby/babies.

I embrace difference, diversity and identity be it racial, cultural, sexual or gender-based.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Distinction.

I offer face-to-face and online sessions and outdoor therapy (walk and talk) in South East London parks.

As well as private practice, I support new mums with postnatal mental distress, working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and low self-esteem.

I also work as a counsellor at a performing arts college in London, supporting young adults experiencing anxiety, identity issues, stress and low self-worth.

I have experience of working both short-term and long-term online and in person.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
