About me

Whatever you are going through you do not have to be alone with it.

I am a Person-Centred therapist which means I work from the understanding that you are the expert in your own life and together we will explore and understand your experiences from which changes and new ways of being can grow.

Whether you are facing challenges, or looking for deeper self-understanding, I am here to support you every step of the way. You will always be at the centre of the work we both do together. I offer a space where you can truly be yourself and find the clarity and healing you seek.

I support those dealing with anxiety & stress, depression, bereavement & loss, feelings of loneliness, struggles with self-confidence and self-doubt, and family and relationship issues. I am trauma informed in my practice and I believe that everyone deserves a safe space to explore their thoughts and emotions. I strive to create an environment where healing can grow and flourish. I offer in-person therapy, online sessions or outdoor (walk & talk) therapy.

I also have specialist experience and interest in perinatal mental health, supporting clients who are experiencing postnatal anxiety, depression and recovering from birth trauma. I aim to help parents through this transformative time by providing compassion and support as they navigate and process the challenges that come with welcoming a new baby.

I embrace difference, diversity and identity be it racial, cultural, sexual or gender-based.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Distinction.

As well as private practice, I support mothers and birthing people with postnatal mental distress, working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, identity challenges and low self-esteem.

  • BICA Foundation Course for Fertility Counselling
  • Certificate in Birth Trauma Training
  • Certificate in Dealing with Distress: Working with Suicide and Self-Harm
  • CORST-Accredited CPD Course: The Bisexual + Service User
  • Psychosynthesis Trust: The Breathe in Psychotherapy
  • Certificate in Working with Dissociative Disorders in Clinical Practice
  • Walk & Talk Therapy Trained: Creative Counsellors

I have experience of working both short-term and long-term online, in person and outdoors.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
