About me
Feeling like nobody understands what you are going through can feel isolating. It may leave you feeling like something is wrong with you or like things are not going to get better. Counselling can help you feel understood and supported, and it can give you the tools you need to help you face life's challenges.
Therapy can help you get through difficult life moments by:
- Talking through you feelings, problems and worries without fear of being judged. This way you can have some deeper understanding of what is going on and how to implement change.
- Understanding triggers so you can find ways to cope with life difficulties.
- Learning how you relate to others so you can have a better understanding of your relationships and what you can do to improve them.
About me
I feel very passionate about my job, I feel privileged to have the opportunity to listen and do what I can to help others. I enjoy working with people because I understand that we all go though very difficult times in our lives and I believe we all deserve help and support. I am particularly interested in working with people who are becoming adults and struggling to navigate through adulthood and balancing all the difficulties that young people are facing nowadays. I believe that young people are facing many difficulties that are unique to their times (i.e. covid, social media) and sometimes their problems are misunderstood or brushed over by society.
Since becoming a therapist, I have done training in suicide and self harm awareness and I am currently undertaking training in systemic therapy.
I currently work online, and I have day and evening availability. Sessions last 50 minutes and are normally on a weekly basis. The number of sessions will be individual for each person; I am happy to work on a short or long-term basis, and we can review this as we go.
Please feel free to contact me if you want to know more. I have a website that you are welcome to visit if you would like.
