About me

I offer a free 15 minute phone call before meeting. This gives you an opportunity to outline your current circumstances and enables me to consider whether I might be able to help you.

I create a non-judgemental and reflective space to help you explore your difficulties and concerns. Taking the first steps into therapy can feel challenging - particularly at a time when you might be struggling to make sense of difficult thoughts and feelings. Working together to understand the connections between past and current relationships, I will support you in developing an awareness of your recurring emotional patterns. Through these insights we will work through the challenges you're facing.

About Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy connects the experiences of earlier relationships to life in the here and now. Understanding the patterns that repeat in your life, we can explore the possibilities for meaningful change and more fulfilled relationships.

Next Steps
Your first session will be an assessment where I will ask you questions to better understand your past, your present and your expectations.  This session is a two-way process for both of us to consider if we might be able to work together.

Any ongoing therapy will last 50 minutes and would take place on a weekly basis.

If you would like to discuss an appointment, or ask any further questions, please email me or leave a voicemail.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
