About me

I wonder if you are looking to find out why things are not going well at the moment? Maybe you have experienced a personal loss or often feel low and tearful? Perhaps a friend or loved one has suggested you could talk to someone about feeling low? I can offer a space for you to explore issues and allow time to heal. There may be parts of your behaviour that confuse you, often leading to you ending up hurt and disappointed. Are there relationship problems that cause distress? Sometimes life is overwhelming and it seems that everything is going wrong. It feels impossible to tell people around you how you truly feel. Tell me.

I am a relational therapist and I am curious about how we function in relation to others, in our family, at work or with friends. The way we behave with others often hides our true feelings. I will guide you to explore aspects of yourself and look for patterns in your life that cause discomfort. I would like to find out more about you and to understand who you really are and what you need.

I offer face to face weekly sessions in a beautiful room in the centre of Cheltenham. I also offer online counselling.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
