About me
With so many counsellors to choose from it can be difficult to find the right one for you, especially if this is the first time of looking for some help and support. My role as your counsellor is to develop a trusting relationship where you feel safe to share and focus on your feelings. I will also help you develop a greater understanding of yourself and offer you a different perspective on things. We will always work on what is important to you and each session will be led by you and what you would like to talk about.
What to expect
My counselling room in Lenham, Kent is located in my garden and it has a private entrance. Alternatively, I have a private room in Ashford, Kent with free parking just outside the building. Both rooms are warm, comfortable and confidential. I also offer sessions online via Zoom or telephone if that works better for you.
I offer a friendly and relaxed way of working and together we can explore your thoughts, feelings and life with curiosity. As our working relationship grows I may gently challenge you to help you find answers and feel better. I will also help gain a better understanding of what your needs are in life and as a person.
As a counsellor and as a person, I am calm, kind, empathic and honest. I will always strive to help you find ways to manage and cope with what you are currently struggling with.
A good way for me to learn more about you and for you to learn more about how I can help you, is for us to have an initial friendly chat either online via Zoom or telephone. I offer a free 20 minute call so please send me an email or text or give me a call.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
