About me
As an art therapist, I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT).
I have 8+ years of experience working as an art therapist in schools, mental health charities, NHS, and probation services. I run my own private practice in East London and run creative workshops in London.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults from a wide range of cultures, races and backgrounds.
I am also an artist, mindfulness practitioner, creative workshop facilitator, clinical supervisor and author.
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art media as its primary mode of expression and communication (BAAT). Art-making helps reduce stress and anxiety, activates dopamine reward pathways, promotes reflection and self-awareness, and redirects negative thoughts.
In art therapy, it is the process rather than the product that heals, transforms, and creates avenues for insight and development.
Therapeutic approach:
My therapeutic approach is primarily Jungian-based and psychodynamic but also integrates mindfulness. The approach is based on three core values that are very close to my heart:
- Everyone can be creative
- Creativity and art have transformational benefits
- Change should be embraced kindly and compassionately
I strongly believe that the act of art-making and creativity can be an act of self-care and a way of nurturing ourselves. When done in a safe and trusting space, art-making leads to healing and new ways of thinking as it connects people to their own limiting beliefs, narratives, self-criticism and other habits and patterns that might no longer be serving them.
In art therapy sessions, I provide a non-judgemental space for people to release their creativity.
Clients I work with seek out support through art therapy, in times of their life when they feel stuck and require new ways of thinking. Reasons for this are that they feel stuck in the past and allow their inner critic and old beliefs to be the driver of their life.
Why therapy?
Therapy is an investment in your mental health. The ability to find strategies that build up resilience and put you in control of your well-being is perhaps the most important foundation for being a successful and functional person.
Creativity and art-making within a safe space can help people break these beliefs and patterns and introduce new ways of thinking. It helps them realize what has been keeping them stuck in their life which is incredibly healing.
If you feel you need this form of support, please reach out and we can book a free 20-minute consultation call to see how I can support you.
When working online together, I will also support you in developing a creative space in your own home.
Remember that no art background or experience is required for you to attend art therapy.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
