About me

I offer an integrative and creative approach to counselling for children and young people aged 5 to 24 years. I am an Integrative Counsellor with a Master's Degree specific to working with Children and Young People and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

I aim to offer thoughtful, creative, and inclusive counselling tailored to meet your child's or young person's unique needs. I work with a variety of mental health concerns, and my area of special interest is neurodivergence. I am experienced working with neurodivergent youth, whether they hold a diagnosis or are exploring their symptoms.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have an MSc in Counselling for Children and Young People and am a Member of the BACP. I am a fully qualified Primary School Teacher specialising in Early Years. Additionally, I hold a BSc in Psychology (with Honors) and have extensive experience working with children and families. I volunteered as a school counsellor at Northampton School For Boys and the Child and Adolescent Bereavement Service at Northampton General Hospital. I have worked as a school counsellor in secondary and primary schools and supported families through the SureStart Initiative.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
