About me

I can support you if you're experiencing challenges such as relational trauma, anxiety, depression, stress or bereavement, amongst other issues. Do you feel overwhelmed and unable to cope with life's day-to-day challenges? Are you feeling weighed down with an underlying sense that you'll never be 'good enough,' no matter what you've achieved? Or do you find it difficult to maintain close relationships, unable to feel heard or be yourself when you're with others?

I can support you by providing a warm, trusting space where you can express yourself and make sense of the world around you. Through this you'll discover a sense of safety and confidence within yourself, as well as new, fulfilling ways of relating to others. I have helped people with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma and relationship issues among many other issues like these. Before I trained as a counsellor, I've worked as a support worker with older adults, then as an advisor helping people access legal aid to protect them from domestic abuse and homelessness, so I've had a lot of experience creating supportive relationships to empower people to get through difficult times and change their lives for the better.

I am experienced in creating a safe relationship that is inclusive and accessible to people from all walks of life. I offer online or face-to-face sessions in my counselling room with lift facilities and free parking, within 5 minutes of Junction 21 of the M5. When you contact me, we'll discuss what you would like help with and any questions you may have in a free, no obligation chat.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
