About me

“Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength” - Sigmund Freud

Life has a way of taking us down some pretty rough roads at times, and it can make us feel alone, anxious, angry, confused...all sorts of emotions, that when left can build and bring us down even further. It can be daunting to reach out, but that is where I can help you.

I am friendly, kind and warm. We can have a chat on the phone or by email first, to put you at ease, and discuss how I might be able to help you, and from there we will begin your journey together.

I can help you to take a look at what it is that is causing you to feel the way you do, and then together we can look at ways to improve these feelings in ways that will be the best for you. Therapy isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ approach, and so with that in mind I believe the greatest growth comes from a strong therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I am able to draw upon lots of different therapeutic models to help you in the best way I can. If you wish to go back to explore your past, stay in the here and now, or/and use CBT, psycho Education and goal orientated techniques in your session, we can do so, whatever feels best for you.

I hold a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. (Prof.Dip.Psy.C)

I worked as a counsellor and group facilitator at Future Living Hertford helping those with addiction issues and victims of domestic abuse, as well as providing support to women in refuge.

I am a qualified Hypnotherapist and Hypnobirthing teacher.

I worked in a girls school providing counselling to students, and as Senior Mental Health Lead and Counsellor at an inner city Junior school.

I have extensive experience working with those who have worked within the sex industry, and of non-monogamous relationships.

I am a published author on the matter of domestic abuse, I also have a successful blog discussing the same subject.

I hold insurance and am an accredited member of The National Counselling Society.

Further information

My personal experiences shape the clients I extend my services to. Having been in a abusive marriage, and then moving into a non-monogamous marriage that was unhealthy in many ways, and now into a space of calm and peace, I myself have been on many journeys that have given me much experience that sits alongside my professional experience as a counsellor.

I work specifically with individuals and couples who present with issues such as shame, low self-esteem, low self-worth, anxiety, communication issues, troubles setting boundaries and a desire to rebuild trust in themselves and others. Those who have experienced trauma as a result of abuse or non- monogamy, or more specifically, both. I also work with those who have been in the adult industry.

I do not judge. I have been there myself, seen many things, walked in many shoes and mixed in many circles. I have a deeper understanding of the pain and trauma, and dis-integration of the self that can occur from these types of life experiences.

My aim is always to walk beside you as you embark on your journey. To hold and support you, giving you the space you need to explore and begin to heal. I will gently guide you towards your own goals should you wish to set them, and challenge you should you wish. I will help you find clarity, and release. Above all, I wish to help you find hope.

Please do feel free to text or call me. I look forward to hearing from you.
