About me

I looked for a therapist after university when I was at a place in my life where I was feeling down, uncertain and stuck. I wanted support so that I could understand myself better and work towards feeling more ‘back on track’ with my life. Through my own therapy I saw the value of seeking out professional support and the more I learnt, the more optimistic and passionate I became about how much we can change our lives for the better. My new found love for personal development and my love of listening and being there for others led me to re-train to become a therapist. I now help others who are experiencing difficulties to feel happier, more fulfilled and more confident in their own life.

Life can be incredibly tough sometimes and leave us feeling isolated and unable to cope. And whilst sometimes we may have people around us to turn to for support, we may feel that we don’t want to burden them or feel that they won't understand.

I offer a safe and welcoming space where my clients can explain what’s going on in their lives and in their minds. It’s the kind of conversation that you might expect to have with a good friend, except that you have the peace of mind that you’re talking to a trained professional who will listen without judgement and will keep things confidential. Together we will explore your worries and difficulties without the fear of judgement, shame or rejection. We can talk about what’s causing you pain and distress, whether it be in your past or in your present, so that you can make sense of it, process it and make fresh choices for your future.

I work online with a variety of clients who come to me looking for support in different areas of their life. In particular, but in no particular order, I am interested in working with people who are experiencing low mood, anxiety, low self esteem, a feeling of stuckness, relationship difficulties, family difficulties, bereavement and women's health concerns.

If you have any questions or would like to set up a free call then I invite you to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
