About me

It can be a difficult thing to reach out to a counsellor. You may have been unhappy for a while - with your job, with your relationship, with the direction your life is taking. You know you want to make changes but it can seem like a huge task, and you have no idea where to start. You know there are things you need to do, parts of your past you need to face, self-esteem to build, destructive patterns that need to be broken.

You may have had counselling before, you may have wanted to try it for a while, it may be a last resort. Whatever brings you to counselling, from whatever background, you are welcome to reach out.

There are certain things we can't change: trauma from our past, other people's behaviour, injustice in the world. But in our work together, I will help you understand yourself and your own strengths so you can gain more control over your life. I only work online and in particular with neurodiverse, LGBTQ+ and disabled clients, although all are welcome.

Everyone’s experiences are unique, but that doesn’t mean you are alone. There is no such thing as an insignificant problem.  If it matters to you, it’s significant. Drop me a message and we can arrange a free inital phone consultation to find out if we are a good fit. I look forward to meeting you.

I only offer online therapy at present. This includes sessions via videocall, live chat, and email. I aim to provide counselling to suit your needs and find the opportunities technology offers to communicate in different ways to be very exciting.

Get in touch today to book a free consultation.

I do not ignore messages, please check your spam folder for my reply if you have not received anything.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

I have done additional training in online therapy, trauma informed practice, gender and sexuality, and neurodivergence.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
