About us

Howard is part of a group of psychotherapists based at Brighton Therapy Centre, which offers both group and individual therapy on a sliding scale. All practitioners at BTC are committed to making therapy more widely available and offer 25% of their time at a reduced fee to make this possible. See below.

Howard offers a group for qualified and trained counsellors and psychotherapists who wish to deepen their own personal development. The group meets on Mondays at 2-3.30pm cost £33 per session. Howard also offers clinical supervision and is a trained supervisor.

Low cost therapy: Brighton Therapy Centre has a low fee group option for those seeking low cost group therapy. We offer low cost group places for £10 - £20 per week. Group Psychotherapy is as effective as individual therapy and can be particularly helpful if you are experiencing emotional isolation, social anxiety, depression or recurrent difficulties in your relationships. Please ask for more information.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

Other areas of counselling we deal with

I have a special interest in working with depression, anxiety and mood swings.  Group Psychotherapy is especially helpful for the following areas:

  • social anxiety
  • low self-esteem
  • depression

I have also noticed that people who are an only child can find a huge benefit from being in a group. Belonging to a supportive group can feel like having positive sibling relationships, which will boost your confidence in all areas of your life, including work and intimate relationships.
