About me

When life becomes difficult we can find ourselves struggling to live it as fully as possible. This might be because of anxiety, depression, chronic illness, trauma or low self-esteem or difficulties forming or maintaining relationships. We can also find ourselves acting in ways that only cause us more hurt and pain, often without understanding why. Talking through these difficulties with someone can be the first step to turning life around. I have specialist training and experience in working with people who are adjusting to living life with a long-term physical health condition.

I am experienced in working with people in a safe and confidential space to identify, understand and change what is holding them back from living a more satisfying life. You may want to focus on a specific issue for a short time or work on wider, deeper or more long-standing issues over a longer period. I have specialist training and experience in two, evidence-based therapies, one for short-medium term work and the other for medium-long term work.

Beginning to talk about difficulties in therapy can feel daunting and it is my job to help you to feel more comfortable with doing so. If you would like to find out more about how we might work together, please don’t hesitate to make contact.

When meeting for an initial appointment, we can begin to understand the difficulties you are facing, what could be holding you back and look at options for change.

If you decide what I offer is a good match for you, we can then begin working on your difficulties together.
