About me

Sometimes life asks more of us than we can carry alone.

You may feel exhausted from holding everything together, on edge without quite knowing why, flat and disconnected from things that used to matter, or stuck in patterns you do not fully understand. Reaching out can be the hardest part. You do not need to have everything figured out before you do.

I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist in Ashtead. I work with anxiety, panic, depression, stress and burnout, and with the trauma that often sits underneath them, including PTSD, complex trauma and the lasting effects of abuse.

Many of the people I come to know appear capable on the outside while quietly carrying fear, shame, exhaustion, or a sense of never fully feeling safe.

I also work with neurodivergent clients, including those exploring ADHD or autism. In therapy, you will not need to mask, perform, or explain yourself away.

Therapy with me is shaped around you rather than around a method. Some sessions focus on understanding where the difficulty comes from. Others focus on grounding, regulation, or simply having somewhere to put it all down. What stays constant is the relationship: a space where you can be heard without having to manage how you come across.

Sessions are available in person in Ashtead, online, or as walk-and-talk therapy, for adults and young people aged 13+.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation.

You do not need the right words to begin. A short message is enough.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (Level 7) from the University of Greenwich, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in line with their Ethical Framework.

My training is integrative, which means I have studied and work within several therapeutic models: psychodynamic, humanistic, somatic and CBT, rather than a single approach. This allows me to adapt the work to each client rather than asking them to fit one method.

My clinical experience includes:

A specialist trauma, domestic and sexual abuse charity, working with adults and young people affected by complex trauma, sexual abuse and domestic abuse.

The University of Surrey, supporting students through anxiety, low mood, academic pressure and the impact of earlier experiences.

Private practice, offering both short-term and open-ended therapy to adults and young people aged 13+.

I work with anxiety, panic, stress and burnout, complex trauma and PTSD, depression, low self-worth, emotional dysregulation, grief, relationship difficulties and the lasting effects of childhood sexual abuse. I also work with neurodivergent clients, including those exploring ADHD or autism.

I receive regular clinical supervision and undertake ongoing continuing professional development.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
