About me

Hello and welcome!

This is your life – do you want to live it fully, or or let it pass you by?

The way forward is not always clear, this of course is your choice and I can help you with the “how”.

After spending many years in the corporate world, overburdened by stress, insecurity and burnout, I have discovered a powerful understanding that empowered me to live my life full out. That understanding resides in all of us. You only need someone to pull back the curtains in order to see it and that’s where I come in.

My speciality is dealing with working women who are trying to do it all and feel like they are slowly losing themselves, as each new task surfaces. Let me help shine a light on your strength, swap your stress for peace and contentment, rekindle your magic, and move you toward consistent joy and laughter.

My passion is to support people to live their best lives, help them heal from emotional injury and be free of the shackles that hold them back. I work to break them out of their conditioning and limiting beliefs and to live the life they dream of.

I believe we all go through times when we need support from outside our normal network. I feel saddened that many see this as a sign of weakness. In my eyes, it actually takes great strength to ask for help. I urge you to ask for what you need, get what you deserve to start living your best life.

Don’t let life slip by, take a hold a do something for you! My wish for you is that you are able to step out of your comfort zone and ask for the support you need.

You are not obliged to sign up for anything, in fact I would encourage you to talk to a few different therapists before you choose the one you feel most connected to.

Wishing you a life full of everything you dream of.

Training, qualifications & experience

For me, finding the right therapist for you, should be your most important step when engaging in the therapeutic process. With that in mind, here’s a little insight to my 15 year journey as a therapist.

I qualified as a therapist in 2007 with a degree in Person Centred Counselling with Middlesex University.

I was very fortunate to be able to develop my skills whilst working in several counselling organisations. I worked at Brent Bereavement during the 7/7 bombings in London and we were one of the agencies tasked with supporting bereaved families. During my time at the Place2be and the Wish Centre, I worked in schools supporting children and young people with an array of difficulties including ADHD, anxiety, overwhelm, depression, self-harm, eating disorders, and suicide.

To this day, I still dedicate 30% on my time working in colleges as I know the difference it can make first hand to support a young person.

For 10 years I ran a charity supporting children, young people and adults who had experienced Domestic Abuse. In an attempt to break the cycle of abuse and keep some families together, we also worked with the perpetrators.

I am now a Senior Clarity Coach and enjoy Life Coaching as well as therapeutic support.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
