About me

I offer counselling for individuals, couples, children, and young people aged 4–18, as well as support for parents navigating the emotional, relational, and developmental challenges that can arise at home. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I provide a safe, confidential, and grounded space where you can feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted.

My approach is rooted in respect, empathy, and curiosity. I believe that healing happens through relationships, and this sits at the heart of my practice. I work collaboratively, at your pace, creating a therapeutic relationship where you can explore your experiences with honesty and without judgement.

If you are interested in receiving counselling, please contact me to arrange a free consultation over the phone or online. We can discuss what you would like from counselling and whether it is right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am trained in Integrative Counselling, drawing on Person‑Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Existential approaches, the Christian worldview, and creative techniques. This allows me to tailor therapy to your unique needs rather than taking a one‑size‑fits‑all approach.

When working with children and young people, I use developmentally attuned, play‑based, and creative methods to support emotional expression, regulation, and a sense of safety. Sessions may include art, storytelling, games, or metaphor—approaches that help children communicate in the ways that feel most natural to them.

Alongside my counselling qualifications, I hold a BA (Hons) in Social Work and have completed extensive additional training, including Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, Neurodiversity, Trauma‑Informed Practice, and Restorative Practice. My background in social work and safeguarding strengthens my ability to support families with complex needs and to work sensitively with trauma, relational difficulties, and neurodiversity.

I have a BAHons in Social Work and completed many training courses such as Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, Neurodiversity, Trauma Informed Practice and Restorative Practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
