About me

Are you feeling anxious or stressed, overthinking, experiencing relationship difficulties or feeling low or more tearful than usual?

If you are struggling with any of the challenges mentioned above then you might need someone to talk to. My holistic approach to counselling allows me to take notice and listen to every aspect of your life and find a way to help you move forward in a way that strengthens and aligns with your values.

I am a qualified, insured humanistic and integrative counsellor, registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I am bound by their ethical framework.

I offer sessions on Monday, Wednesday or Friday online and in person (starting from April 2024).

Some of my interests include baking, dancing, long walks in the countryside and I love listening to house music.

Training, qualifications & experience

Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

I have a background in administration but have a passion for learning about people and believe that we are continually shaped by our experiences and interactions with others and our environment.

I have always been drawn to helping others and more recently found myself in mental health professions in my role within the NHS. This work has allowed me to engage with neurodiverse individuals.

As a humanistic integrative counsellor, I have had the pleasure of working with a range of clients of varying ages in different settings including a suicide intervention and mental health service for people under thirty, as well as a centre dedicated to supporting people with cancer or caring for people with this diagnosis.

Each one of us is unique and we should feel able to share the experiences we have had in a safe space.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
