About me

I'm Amanda a therapist dedicated to empowering adults on their path to recovery from trauma. If you've landed here, you may have frequent anxiety, depression, complex emotions, or challenges in your relationships. Traumatic events and abusive relationships at any age can effect your identity and leave you feeling stuck in the past.

If life feels like it keeps repeating the same cycles, it may be time for change. You can move forward.

You can expect curiosity, compassion and some respectful challenge in our sessions. Overtime we will create a relationship that helps you to improve your confidence,  boundaries, and connections.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a highly trained UKCP Registered Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist, with a background in Transactional Analysis. I draw on a variety of evidence-based theories to create a tailored approach that aligns with your needs.

I hold a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy with six years experience working in primary care and voluntary agencies.

I primarily work with client's who have complex emotional needs, have experienced historical abuse, and those seeking a neuroaffirmative practice.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
