About me
I provide an understanding and nurturing environment and seek to help clients to feel listened to and to feel comfortable with opening up their true selves. I believe that therapy can assist a client with unlocking their values to bring a renewed sense of purpose to their life.
Through therapy, clients can manage their lives to be more meaningful and satisfying and also to successfully negotiate and come to terms with past, present and future dilemmas and crises that affect them.
I have an existential approach, which focuses on a philosophical understanding of a client’s place in the world and a clarification of what it means to them to be alive. Rather than taking a single interpretive approach, I am open to the many ways that a client can find meaning in their life and believe that therapy can help further widen the client’s perspective on themselves and the world around them.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
