About me

24 years skilled & highly qualified experience, I offer a very caring sensitive approach. I work with individuals & also couples in complete confidentiality.

CORONA VIRUS: During this difficult time while we cope with the concerns of the Corona virus, people who feel they might be suffering with isolation-anxiety are welcome to make contact with me by text or email initially, as I am able to offer telephone support for individuals - priority support is offered to those experiencing anxiety & severe anxiety, panic attacks, depression & stress related issues which can impact on life.

Normally I also work with other issues such as low self esteem & lack of confidence & childhood trauma which can be discussed as I have extensive experience working with, bereavement, traumatic grief, long term illness, attachment behaviour, miscarriage, postnatal depression, divorce & separation but these are not normal times.

As a qualified experienced bereavement & loss counsellor whether that loss is experienced through death of a loved one, a still birth, or miscarriage; or maybe traumatic grief due to a sudden death, an accident or suicide, or from the adjustments of separation & divorce; or loss through a break up in family relationships & other family issues. Also for those with cancer or in recovery I offer a very gentle, supportive, caring & understanding approach for your well being.

FOR THE TIME BEING BEING DURING THE PANDEMIC FACE TO FACE COUNSELLING & PYSCHOTHERAPY WITH COUPLES IS ON HOLD. I also work supportively with couples of all ages seeking couples counselling & relationship support, offering an understanding approach for solution focused work. Working sensitively with couples seeking guidance in all relationship issues or wider family matters or a range of emotional & behavioural issues that can happen within relationships, particularly emotional anxiety, co-dependency, an affair, a new baby, employment-related stress, anger issues, low self confidence, attachment behaviour, bereavement, loss & trauma & fertility issues.

Individual sessions are for one hour & couples the initial session is for up to one & half hours, all sessions are private & completely confidential and designed to assist in focusing on finding a way forward with your issues, worries or problems.

Flexible telephone appointment times for telephone counselling are available, many clients have children or have commitments so I offer appointments Monday to Friday daytimes and three evenings a week and some weekends.  Text my mobile 07799 007108  or email via this site and I will try to speak to you as quickly as possible.

My work style is described as Integrative - offering the use of several different theoretical approaches to provide wider and very thorough blended support for individual and partnership needs.

The most difficult part of seeking help and support from an experienced & professionally trained therapist is making the intial contact. So whether you are outgoing, or maybe lack a little confidence and are shy, rest assured together we'll establish a gentle, trusting working relationship and work together at your own pace. Feel free to email or make that 'phone call & together we can start working towards your wellbeing.
