I offer to support you professionally by helping you to gently explore your feelings & safely & effectively support & empower you to take control of your emotions & your relationship with yourself & others,

If you are seeking or want to be...

Pro-active in transforming your life for the better                                                            or gain a better understanding of your thoughts, feelings, behaviours &              relationships,

or resolve issues, traumas, negative behaviour patterns or are looking to become unstuck from your past & be unafraid of the future,                                                                                                                     or  want to uncover your potential & pursue you goals & dreams?

I offer you therapeutic supported and with complete anonymity & confidentiality. Short term & longer term therapy is available to you if you are over 18yrs of age.

Counselling & psychotherapy is all about 'you' & our working relationship is central to  achieving your aims for resolving both past & present issues.                         My role is to establish & help build a sound safe working relationship with you,  carefully developed with trust, transparency & confidentiality, so if or when you feel the need to share very sensitive, fragile feelings & emotions you know you will feel safe & very well supported.

My extensive experience, & the approaches I use, enables me to offer you professional support,  helping to resolving much deeper set issues -  perhaps from childhood or a disruptive emotional adult life. If you're feeling anxious or depressed or had suicidal thoughts or need to untangle something very upsetting & unresolved from your past, or manage overwhelming current emotions, worries, anxieties & sadness or are neurodivergent & need support.

Perhaps you're trying to cope with feeling overwhelmed, or struggling with turmoil or making difficult  choices in your life, or a sadness from a  loss or bereavement, or maybe are looking to find motivation & empowerment for positive change, or have reached a cross-roads, these & many more reasons are why clients' seek support & where  I can offer to help & support your overall emotional wellbeing.

Appointments for individual sessions are up to one hour & are completely confidential & relaxed.                            I offer flexible appointment times & days... mornings, afternoons & evenings Monday to Friday.  I also offer occasional weekend appointments (by arrangement) to suit clients' working needs.                                                                               Face to face sessions are held in Folkestone. Telephone counselling which has become very popular, with  so many clients saying it is their preferred option for appointments -as it saves travelling time & allows freedom to have sessions anywhere & anytime.  All telephone sessions are conducted with the same content as face to face sessions - all that is required is that you have a 'phone & can be somewhere where I can telephone you at a mutually agreed appointment time.                                                            I am also an accredited bereavement & loss counsellor endorsed by 24 years as a volunteer counsellor/ supervisor with Cruse Bereavement Support.                  So if you're trying to cope with grief experienced by the death of a loved one, or friend, or maybe a grief due to  a tragic accident, suicide or from cancer, a still birth, or miscarriage or loss of a treasured pet. Even the loss experienced through a break-up in marriage or from from the adjustments of separation & divorce  - if the above losses apply to you I offer sensitive  bespoke grief support.

I'm also qualified to work with traumatic & complicated grief supporting the  relatives, friends colleagues of those  bereaved by suicide, murder or a fatal road accident.

My style of therapeutic work  offers the use of several theoretical approaches.  I find this works extremely well for clients' as it provides a much wider and very thorough blended source of support whether for short or longer term therapy &  motivational work.

You'll soon experience the benefits of therapy by having greater awareness & understanding of your emotions & learn to use the  'tools' to help you manage them, greatly benefitting your your mental health & overall wellbeing.

The most difficult part of seeking therapy is making the initial contact, so if you've not had any previous experience of counselling or psychotherapy &  whether you lack a little confidence are shy, reluctant or anxious about enquiring, rest assured my priority is to put you at ease.

Please feel free to contact me via text, telephone or email me. I offer a free initial 10-20mins 'phone call to say 'hello & hi' & answer any questions you may have & for you to see how we might work together.                                                 I sometimes have a waiting list,  but I will always try to arrange a time for you. You  can arrange a first appointment for a day/eve & time that suits you, at the end of that first session, you can choose if you would like to have more sessions.

I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to call me on 01303 891794 or mobile 07799 007108 or email me at or via   this web site to enquire & I will speak to you as quickly as possible in complete confidentiality.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
