About me

24 years skilled & highly qualified experience I offer a very caring sensitive approach. I work with individuals  & also couples in complete confidentiality.

For individuals - support is offered to those experiencing anxiety & severe anxiety, depression & stress related issues which can impact on life, also low self esteem & confidence. I have extensive experience working with, bereavement, traumatic grief, long term illness, attachment behaviour, miscarriage, postnatal depression, divorce & separation.

As a qualified experienced bereavement & loss counsellor whether that loss is experienced through death of a loved one or a pet, or maybe  traumatic grief due to a sudden death, an accident or suicide, or from the adjustments of separation & divorce; or loss through a break up in family relationships. Also for those with cancer or in recovery I offer a very gentle, supportive, caring & understanding approach for your well being.

I also work supportively with couples of all ages seeking couples counselling & relationship support, offering a very understanding approach for solution focused work. Working sensitively with couples seeking guidance in all relationship issues or family matters & a wide range of emotional & behavioural issues that can happen within relationships, particularly emotional anxiety, co-dependency, an affair, a new baby, employment-related stress, anger issues, low self confidence, attachment behaviour, bereavement, loss & trauma & fertility issues.

Individual sessions are for one hour, & couples up to one a & half hours, all sessions are private & completely confidential and designed to assist in focusing on finding a way forward with your issues, worries or problems.

Flexible appointment times are available in Hawkinge, many clients have children or have travel and work commitments so I offer appointments Monday to Friday daytimes and three evenings a week and  most Saturdays. Call me on 01303 891794 or mobile 07799 007108  or email via this site and I will try to see you as quickly as possible.

My work style is described as Integrative - offering the use of several different theoretical approaches to provide wider and very thorough blended support for individual and partnership needs.

The most difficult part of seeking help and support from an experienced & professionally trained therapist is making the intial contact. So whether you are outgoing, or maybe lack a little confidence and are shy, rest assured together we'll establish a gentle, trusting working relationship and work together at your own pace, all taking place in a comfortable relaxed environment, which welcomes you. Feel free to email or make that 'phone call & together we can start working towards your wellbeing.

Parking available & on a very regular bus service route between Folkestone & Canterbury via villages.

For cancer patients home visits can be arranged.
