About me

Hello and welcome!

We are living in very uncertain and unprecedented times. Even the calmest of us can feel anxious at a time like this, even if we have, so far, been fortunate managed to avoid the clutches of coronavirus. The repercussions of the virus, however, are huge, whether we have been personally affected or not. Clearly for those on the front line and for those whose loved ones have succumbed to the virus, the pain is unspeakable. Most people, however, know of someone who has died and most of us worry about our family's health.

Living in lockdown is taking its toll on all of us in some way, conscious or unconscious. Many people, adults and children alike, report feeling unmotivated, bored, isolated, lonely, depressed and stressed and anxious. Concerns about jobs and finances, one's own health and that of the family, lack of contact with friends and family outside the home, family conflicts increased by living in close proximity day in day out, all take their toll. People are reflecting about their future and how it might be after the virus ends. Exam classes are feeling cheated out of control over their grades.

It is important to recognise that whatever you may be feeling is valid, is normal and is worth bringing to therapy. Talking will help ease some of the feelings you may have and can help you take back control of your future. If you want to take back control of your life and of your emotions, do get in touch.

You may have a concrete issue; you may just feel generally unhappy without knowing why. Whatever your issue, large or small, I can offer you a warm, safe and confidential space in which to explore your feelings and can help you find strategies to deal with them.

Over the past 20 + years, I have helped hundreds of children, adolescents and adults of all ages and backgrounds heal their issues and fulfil their potential. It can be difficult to take the plunge to come for therapy but it is always worthwhile!! Therapy can be short or long term depending on your needs; and, for those who prefer to work creatively rather than talking, I offer sandplay, dreamwork, art, music, writing and guided visualisation amongst other creative therapies.

However big or small your issue, do get in touch. I look forward to speaking to you soon.

Note that while we are in lockdown, all sessions will be conducted online - on video, phone or on chat on the platform of your choice..

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.
