About me
Hi I am here to provide Counselling and psychotherapy- for when you're ready to make those changes to live a happier life and need help and guidance doing so. You may need to work through feelings and emotions that you are experiencing in a safe non judgemental compassionate space. Sessions are a place where you can get the support and share how it really is for you.
Couples and relationship work is an area of specialism for me .
I also offer movement/dance therapy.

Couples work
- We will look at your current ways of communicating and learn new healthy ways of communicating that will encourage a more positive and understanding relationship dynamic.
- Identify your hopes for the relationship, aspirations for your life and including both your individual needs we will explore what might be getting in the way of this happiness and fulfillment.
- Find ways to create more closeness, intimacy and sharing in the relationship.
- Look at the Sexual relationship: how each of your needs are being met and what changes can be made to feel more fulfilled and connected.
- Where required, work out if you are both still happily compatible to move forward together in the relationship at this stage in your lives
I am honest with you in what I see. I will be focused on helping you find more healthy and positive approaches to your life and relationship, which can be transformative. Therefore, sessions can be challenging and will require your willingness to be open and honest, to be with what can feel uncomfortable and sometimes unfamiliar... this is required in order to create change and growth.
New Relationships and Looking for a partner: It is so important in a new relationship to be able to be open and honest, to share your true self and feel heard and understood by your partner. Training, qualifications & experience
I have been dedicated to self awareness and personal growth learning about both my own and others need for fulfillment. And the challenges in achieving this. Exploring what makes this difficult and how we can change these old stuck behaviour dynamics. I work with The law of attraction... simply put, the Law of Attraction is the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on. The Law of Attraction dictates that whatever can be imagined, felt and held in the mind’s eye is achievable if you take action on a plan to get to where you want to be. Sometimes you really need help in this process and that is something I can support you with alongside the therapy.
Having spent 25 years practising therapeutic dance, I am also offering dance and movement therapy in a safe studio space where we can work through releasing and moving through what's held in the body.
My Psycho-therapeutic training began in 2002 where I gained and went on to further train in the following qualifications:
- Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling - CPCAB (Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body)

- Certificate in Counselling Studies - CPCAB

I have also been a lecturer in Counselling for some ten years and a trainer in the adult sector for Relate.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Therapy Sessions are available weekly, fortnightly or monthly as required.
Once sessions are booked a commitment is required to pay for that session. Cancellation policy requires at least one weeks notice.
