About me
I am based in W12, ten minutes from Stamford Brook tube. I am a BACP accredited psychotherapist and counsellor.
I see clients suffering from work stress, anxiety, depression, the effects of abuse, addictions or it may be something which is hard to put into words, a kind of general misery. In the first session, you will know at once if there is the potential to make progress together.
My clients range from 17 years old to mid-70s.
My approach is warm and affable. I use a double approach, combining practical 'here and now' techniques offering instant relief, plus a psychodynamic approach to explore more deeply.
My clients include individuals and couples, professionals, businessmen and women, teenagers, all ages and walks of life.
I became a therapist after recovering from my own difficulties and my own experience of personal therapy is that the process may take time, but with commitment it can bring about remarkable changes in how life is approached, how it feels to live in the day-to-day.
I find that some clients want focused short term help, where we look at specific solutions together. Others wish for something more open-ended.
I work from a peaceful ground floor flat in a quiet, leafy road in Shepherd's Bush and I offer counselling and psychotherapy, 7am-10pm 5 days a week for individual or couples counselling and help with relationship issues, as well as those suffering from anxiety, panic disorder, seasonal affective disorder, bipolar and manic depression, separation and divorce, post natal depression, sexual or emotional abuse, family issues, bullying, anger management, low self-confidence, bereavement, redundancy, phobias, suicidal thoughts, affairs and betrayals, alcoholism, drug abuse, stress and many other areas of concern.
Clients tell me they experience the setting as a calm place that is confidential and reassuring - somewhere they can explore what they need to talk about in confidence and at their own pace.
We do this as part of a shared commitment, working through what you need to discuss in a way that is appropriate for you.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
