About me
'Sustenance for the Soul' is a psychotherapy service that is focused on the spiritual aspects of the individual. By spiritual I mean the 'non-physical' - even the most material of personalities has;
- a set of beliefs about themselves, the world and others
- a meaning that they give to life
- a purpose which gets them out of bed each day
- may have unusual or non-ordinary experiences, (hearing voices, visions, fantasies)
At times we can lose our way. If you feel stuck, anxious or hopeless, I aim to help you understand your unique view of the world and your place in it by working directly with your unconscious through dreams, somatic work . hypnosis, depth psychotherapy and more recently, through psychedelic integration. (Please note I do not offer psychedelic assisted therapy which remains illegal in the UK).
I have had the privilege of working with individuals from a wide range of spiritual traditions and belief systems including; Christian (Baptist, Anglican, Methodist), Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, Jehovah's Witness, Sufi, Buddhist and Pagan. My aim is to facilitate your own journey through spiritual unfoldment; I do not coerce you into any particular direction, nor do I challenge your personal set of beliefs. With you I honour and respect the sacred unfolding of life's journey, however that manifests for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Masters Degree in Transpersonal Psychotherapy, Advanced integrative Diploma in Psychotherapy and Practitioner Diploma in CBT. I recently trained in Transpersonal & Psychedelic Psychology to facilitate psychedelic integration. I have worked as a spiritual consultant and energy medicine practitioner since 1992. I trained in hypnotherapy in 2005. My dissertation explored the spiritual aspects of the 'voice hearing' phenomenon and I support those living with non-ordinary experiences.

I have worked in private practice since 2007, and also within NHS and private mental health care services. In 2010 I set up the ASC Wellbeing Clinic, a service supporting young people and their families.
I have also trained in intervention for prevention of sexual offending for potential offenders and their families.
Personally I am interested in the cutting edge of 'consciousness' science and in my private practice I work with those that wish to develop their consciousness and spiritual aspects.
My work is based on the following model of human 'being' through five areas of experience: physiological, psychological, behavioural, emotional and spiritual.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
