Irene Butt - UKCP Reg Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, MBACP (Accred), UKRCP
Kingston Upon Thames
I am a UKCP Registered Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with ten years of experience working in private practice, organisational settings and in the corporate sector. I work from a consulting room in the centre of Kingston upon Thames, which is a few minutes walk from Kingston train station.
I offer both short - term and also long - term psychotherapy and provide a safe and confidential area where you can explore some of the difficult feelings that may be coming up for you.
At times there may be things going on in your life that you cannot understand or have little control over, which can lead to you feeling unhappy. I will look at the situation you are currently facing and work with you to explore your issues. Through our exploration together, you can gain a deeper understanding about yourself and your life, feel less overwhelmed by problems, and become empowered to make changes, with the hope that you will be able to live creatively and with greater peace in the present.
Whatever you bring, I hope to provide an environment that can feel supportive and empowering and that your discovery and understanding of who you can be, will be affirmative and lasting.
I have many years of experience working with people presenting with a diverse range of issues. I have worked with people who have experienced difficulties with:
- post natal depression
- panic attacks
- anger management
- eating disorders
- body image
- low self-esteem
- self harm
- low self-confidence
- identity issues
- relationship issues
