Hello, my name is Cheryl and I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (B.P.S) and Health Care and Professions Council (H.C.P.C) and a Senior Accredited Supervisor with the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (B.A.C.P) with 7,000 hours counselling hours experience. I am fully insured and supervised.
My Senior Accredited status means that I have achieved the highest level of professional recognition awarded by the B.A.C.P, the main professional body for therapists in the U.K.
I am an Integrative Psychologist trained in a number of therapeutic approaches including:
Person Centred Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness and N.L.P (Neuro Linguistic Programming), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and A.C.T (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
I work face to face, on the telephone and via Skype with individuals and couples on a short term or long term basis. I work in Heswall on the Wirral; Heswall is 20 minutes from the centre of Chester and Liverpool.
I provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore and discuss your concerns and find solutions which are right for you.
I have experience of working with people on a whole range of life experiences and I specialise in the following areas: depression, anxiety, trauma, couple counselling, addictions, low self esteem, bereavement, work based problems, sexual violence and abuse and anger management.

* Doctorate Level Qualification in Counselling Psychology with the British Psychological Society.
* M.A in Counselling & Psychotherapeutic Practice at Liverpool John Moore's University
* Master Level Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision from the University of Chester.
* Masters Level Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Bristol
* Certificate in Personnel & Development from University of the West of England (C.I.P.D)
* Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming
* Undergraduate Psychology Degree from the University of Nottingham
I am integrative practitioner which means that I have received training in person-centred therapy and C.B.T and EMDR. I have also completed a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming (N.L.P) and attended additional training in:-

I have an Human Resources background and can also work with clients who are experiencing difficulties in their workplace.
I have been working in private practice for 7 years and accept referrals from Employee Assistance Programmes, insurance companies and private individuals and couples. I have experience of N.H.S referrals working with clients face to face and on the telephone who are experiencing anxiety and depression. I have worked with a number of local voluntary agencies and in three G.P practices.

My fees are £75 for individuals and £80 for couples .
If a third party, such as an insurance company or EAP provider, is funding sessions the charges may be higher and will be negotiated on a case by case basis.
Payment may be made by cash, cheque or electronic funds transfer.
If paying by BACS transfer payment should be made 24 hours in advance of the session
