I am fully trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) through Oxford University and I am accredited with the BABCP. I am also trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), a qualified and accredited Hypnotherapist, counsellor and an EMDR practitioner.
These qualifications mean that I have the skills to work flexibly and skillfully with a wide variety of problems, including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional instability, alcohol and eating problems and other difficulties which are leading to self-defeating behaviours. Using CBT and DBT, I can offer you coping strategies to deal with the challenges you are facing, whilst EMDR is a clinically proven technique recommended by the NICE guidelines to deal with traumatic memories. I can use my hypnotherapy skills to help with ……
I am a member of all the professional bodies relating to my qualifications and work within their guidelines. This means I will ensure I treat you with respect, value what you bring to therapy, and use clinical research and my own experience to provide you with the best support possible to help you find a way forward.
Originally from Ghana, I have been the UK for nearly twenty years. My background is as a RMN (mental health nurse), for which I trained at Salford University. I have been working in mental health since 2003 - with both NHS and private sector experiences.
