£20 1st appt. Private & free from judgement. My peaceful practice offers warm, professional & confidential space where you will feel safe to fully explore your feelings & emotions that are causing you concern. If you are struggling & suffering with anxiety; generalised anxiety, panic attacks, family issues, affairs & betrayals, separation & divorce; postnatal depression, phobias, seasonal effective disorder, addiction/s; panic disorder, depression; abuse; relationship issues. If you require Couples Counselling, Bereavement counselling, anger management and help support with most issues I can help. If you need help with low self esteem and or low self confidence contact me. Just one or two appointments can make a huge difference rather than free falling alone and struggling. The stress, strain and worry that these can bring to your work and home life can take its toll on you physically and mentally, they will inevitably crush your self esteem, shatter your confidence, you will become exhausted, problems can & will 'wreck' your sleep, and normal every day life with become harder and harder.
If you are dissatisfied with life or maybe without focus, if you are suffering for 'what ever' reason the space within counselling/therapy will definitely help. It will allow you to explore your thoughts & how you are responding to your experience at this difficult time. It will positively help you gain a greater awareness; to make sense; identify or better accept things that may be preventing you from moving forward effectively to lead a full and satisfying life. It will also help you to make changes by exploring the difficulties that stand in your way-therefore giving you some control over your life. To take control of what is 'feeling' out of control, and no longer feel alone and misunderstood, will bring you huge relief and a new sense of calm & peace with in you.
I am a fully qualified Counsellor, Psychotherapist & Hypnotherapist. My wealth of personal and professional experience adds to my real understanding of life's challenges. I am dedicated and passionate about the work I do & committed in supporting you achieve what you truly want & deserve. My core theoretical base is person-centred but I integrate many other theories and models into my way of working to meet the individual needs of my clients, offering a therapeutic style that will suite you best giving very positive results. My further advanced training with the National College as a Hypno psychotherapist has given me a greater understanding of the power of the mind and how it's hard-wiring can be explored and corrected. I use cognitive tools and CBT practices which will enable you to assess and understand your thoughts, beliefs, attitude and behaviours. Exploring beliefs is crucial to help replace negative thoughts.and for change to take place. This will drastically change how you think consciously & subconsciously bringing about speedy behavioural changes. I believe Cognitive behavioural therapy, as a stand alone therapy, is not as effective unless combined with Person centred therapy. Together the results are life changing.
I work with clients who present with many & varied issues. Your feelings are the most real thing you have - please don't continue to ignore them. I firmly believe, with dedicated professional help you will find resources within yourself to find clarity & peace, and an understanding that you have never felt before. Compelling powerful emotions will loose their power when heard and understood, and you will begin to make healthy positive decisions for yourself. Alternatively it may be that you have lost touch with your feelings and how to express them. There can be several reasons for this.
I am a warm, genuine approachable mature lady offering a quiet, comfortable & safe environment for you to come along to what ever you are struggling with.

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I am guided by its ethical framework for good practice in counselling & psychotherapy. I am certificated and trained by the National College of Hypnosis & Psychotherapy & have techniques and competences to practice in accordance with their ethical teachings.
I have many years experience in support & advice on a one-to-one basis at C.A.B. and Family support work within the home of families in difficult situations. I have counselled in a drop-in centre in Bolton mainly domestic violence & abuse both sexual & emotional and its life long impact.
I now have a private practice that it totally based around the Individual needs of my clients offering a safe space where you will be deeply heard, understood and valued. The success and bedrock of my work is the therapeutic relationship and the quality of relating with individuals. I personally see all of this as hugely important when working in a professional capacity with people who are distressed and struggling with life.
Over the years I have accompanied many clients on their personal journey. I have watched individuals move from uncertainty and self doubt into certainty and self belief, and to blossom in ways they hadn't thought possible. It has been, and continues to be, a privilege and enormously rewarding.
Personal Testimonials can help when trying to decide who to contact. They can bring comfort and reassure you that you have confidence in your search for the right therapist. At a 'glimpse' you can view experiences of previous clients. However I do not publish testimonials because they are considered unethical by many therapy related bodies; they can be fabricated; and the advertising authority requires testimonials to be verified and that would conflict with the Confidentiality I offer my clients.
